As I prepare for Thanksgiving, I think of all the families I have worked with that have shared their fears, struggles, challenges, small victories and hope. I am grateful for the role I am in to be able to give and how much I receive. Happy Thanksgiving!
Listening involves giving someone your full, undivided attention. You may be distracted by many things. Make an effort this week to stop, make eye contact and acknowledge you have heard the other person. Communication will improve when you are a better listener.

Birthdays are different now that I’m a mom. I have a new realization what that birth day was like for my parents. So, today I celebrate my mom and dad and all they have done for me over the years!
